The woodwork was completed by Jeffrey Kroll, a custom woodworker in Seattle, Washington. All of the original Woods Mobilette factory wood pieces were duplicated to exact measurements and design. The original oak used throughout 100% of the vehicle was quarter sawn American white oak with beautiful grain patterns. The replacement oak used was the same. The oak wood used to replace the original pieces exceeded $3,000.00. The original wood that supported the oak body was made from large Rock Maple beams affixed to the top full lengths of both frame rails. New Rock Maple was also utilized in the restoration. All woodwork was finished to a fine furniture quality finish. The woodwork was finished with five coats of hand applied “Formbys” high gloss Tung Oil finish. The woodwork and finish is exquisite! |
